I love my job

Well... when I say that, I'm obviously talking about my son! He's noticed that I've been tutoring people on DeviantArt and so he decided he wanted in on the action. For those of you who don't know, my 11 year old son has Autism - high functioning. This means that his IQ is literally through the roof, but he struggles in other ways. He has a low tolerance for things that make him impatient, but once he's onto something, that's it... he's hooked.

So, I decided to go along with it, constantly asking myself "is he going to have a melt down and get upset because he didn't figure out how to master a tablet right away?.... Or is he going to be patient?". Well today was our first day, and guess what? He did really well! Check it out! (yes, I'm a smitten mummy!)

I love my other job...

I am lucky enough to be on the administration team in seniormentors and I have to admit, after our 3 hour meeting, sorting out our prospective pupils and those who are mentoring... I have to say this...

I LOVE MY JOB

So yeah, okay - the pay sucks (haha, there is no pay, silly!!... oh yeah...) but the benefits outweigh all that. I have started to really come to know some of the seniors really well, especially RavensQuill and JenFruzz - both of whom work their backsides off. But I can't forget isthisthingstillon or phoenixleo either. All four of these guys work hard to make seniormentors a success, and praise be to them, I say!
So if you're bored today, and have not a whole lot on, go and say a big hi and thanks to these beautiful people. They are inspirational and work hard to make your learning experience the best it can be.
